AI or no to AI, that is the question!

In this image, I needed to remove severe condensation from the boy’s glasses and eliminate distracting people in the background. Removing the people was straightforward, but the glasses posed more of a challenge. In the past, I would have gradually rebuilt the left eye until it looked clearer and less hazy, then duplicated it, flipped it, and blended it naturally to replace the right eye. However, after recently watching a YouTube video about the new Generative Fill feature in the 'Flux' partner model (Photoshop Beta), which promised AI-powered automatic correction, I decided to give it a try.

I was sceptical, but the results blew me away! While it wasn’t perfect, by blending the original with the AI-generated version, I achieved a result I'm quite happy with. This process took me half the usual time, making it more cost-effective for the client and quicker for me—a win-win.

But did I feel the same creative satisfaction? Not really.
